Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness–“So Close”: Andrew McMahon wrote this song right after the first Wilderness tour when he felt like his life “was on the verge of some great victory or defeat” and he didn’t know which. He calls the song a “snapshot of life’s uncertain moments”. His new album, Zombies On Broadway, drops on February 10th and he will be in Norfolk on April 15th.

Sallie Ford–“Get Out”: Formerly of Sallie Ford and The Sound Outside. Her new album, Soulsick, also comes out on February 10th.

Valerie June–“Shakedown”: Valerie just finished touring with Sturgill Simpson and Norah Jones. Her headlining tour stops in DC on March 9th and her sophomore album, The Order Of Time, hits the shelves on March 10th.

The Mavericks–“Brand New Day”: The title track from their new album dropping on March 31st. The ten song record is their first independent studio album on their own label, Mono Mundo Recordings.

Ron Gallo–“Young Lady, You’re Scaring Me”: Gallo is out of Nashville via Philadelphia and this song is from his Heavy Meta LP. He calls is, “11 tracks of lyrical confrontation and laughter for cynics”.

The XX–“Replica”: The sixth track from their third album, I See You. The album work actually started as conversations between Oliver and Romy while Jamie was making and promoting the solo In Colour.

Alison Krauss–“Losing You”: A cover of Brenda Lee’s song from her 1963 album, Let Me Sing. It was written by Carl Sigman, Pierre Havet, and Jean Renard. Krauss’ new album, Windy City, is out on February 17th. It is entirely covers of classic songs that she selected with producer, Buddy Cannon. It’s her first album without her band, Union Station.

Beth Hart–“Love Is A Lie”: The video for this song is currently out on YouTube and it is from her new album, Fire On The Floor, which is set for a February 3rd release.

Brent Cobb feat. Jason Isbell–“Black Crow”: This song features Jason Isbell on slide guitar and is on Cobb’s debut solo album, Shine On A Rainy Day. He will be touring with Nikki Lane and playing at Newport Folk.
