Wednesday 1/25 News At Noon
Goldfrapp–“Anymore”: The 7th album from the duo of Will Gregory and Alison Goldfrapp drops on March 31st. The two have been a duo since 2000 and the album title, Silver Eye, is a reference to the moon. The record was produced by John Congleton who previously worked with St. Vincent.
Hanni El Khatib–“Paralyzed”: His new record, Savage Times, is coming out on February 3rd. El Khatib began working on it in December when a French Festival at which he was slated to perform was cancelled due to terrorism. He didn’t originally expect to make an album but now he has one that is nineteen tracks long.
The Molochs–“You And Me”: The Molochs and Hanni El Khatib used the same recording studio. Molochs singer-songwriter Lucas Fitzsimmons was born in Bueno Aires but raised in LA where he was inspired by local hip hop.

Blond Ambition–“Shasta”: The debut single from Slow All Over, the debut solo album of Brian Harding, formerly of the band Ex cops.
Wild Adriatic–“Come Back Baby”: Originally out of Upstate New York, the power trio’s latest album, the 11-track Feel, is set for a February 3rd release.
Yelpy–“Gravity”: Alan Milligan is an Irish singer-songwriter formerly of the band, Whover.

Aimee Mann, “Goose Snow Cone”: Her new album, Mental Illness, hits shelves on March 31st and will be in DC on April 20th.
Bonobo Featuring Nick Murphy (AKA Chet Faker)–“No Reason”: Off of Simon Green’s sixth and latest album, Migration, which is out now.
Ray Davies–“Poetry”: Ray Davies’ first solo album in nearly a decade and is titled Americana and follows his 2013 memoir of the same name.

Dropkick Muphys–“Paying My Way”: Their 9th and latest album contains 11 tracks is entitled, Short Stories of Pain & Glory, and is out now. It deals with the themes of possibility and loss and is about the opioid epidemic in New England and trying to pull oneself out of the spirals of addiction. Their Claddagh charity benefits the same cause. Catch them in DC on March 11th.
Johnny P–“It’s Our Time”: His upcoming EP, It’s Our Time, was produced by Tom Elmhirst who has worked with the likes of Mark Ronson, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Jamie XX and will be released in the spring. He recently toured with Johnnyswim and collaborated with the Nashville Ballet to create a two-song performance.
Ryan Adams–“Doomsday”: The third single released so far from, Prisoner (2/17/17), Adams’ first full-length release of new material since his self-titled in 2014. The song was put out the night before Inauguration Day. He has confirmed his first tour dates of 2017 including two nights in Richmond on March 5th and 6th.

Father John Misty–“Pure Comedy”: The title track to Josh Tillman’s new album, dropping on April 7th. He also released a 25-minute short film that functions as part making-of documentary and part surrealist art piece.
Imagine Dragons–“Believer”: There is literally no information out about this yet.
Mew–“Carry Me to Safety”: The band has been around for over 20 years and their seventh and latest LP, Visuals, hits the shelves on April 28th. It was recorded and self-produced in Copenhagen.
