Wednesday News At Noon Segment

-Collins Class–“Waiting”: The Australian band take their name from the submarine. They have released two EPs and independently put out their debut album, Bird.

-Pablo Nouvelle–“I Will”: Pablo Nouvelle used a different voice for every track on his second album, All I Need, which is out now. He has a European tour planned but no American tour yet.

-Tesla Boy–“Nothing”: The Russian dance-pop foursome’s independently released single “Nothing” is out now.

Thursday News At Noon Segment

-Charles Bradley–“Ain’t It A Sin”: Charles Bradley’s latest record, Changes, dedicated to his late mother, is out on April 1st. It was produced by his longtime co-writer/producer, Thomas Brennock. He will be performing at Lockn’ in August.

-Death By Unga Bunga–“Lady Fondue”: Their new album, Pineapple Pizza, is out on March 4th and was inspired by music from the sixties and seventies. They will be performing at South by Southwest next month and have a full tour to be announced soon.

-Mayer Hawthorne–“Love Like That”: Hawthorne’s father taught him to play bass at the age of five in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His fourth album, Man About Town, drops on April 8th.

Friday News At Noon Segment

-The Knocks feat. Walk The Moon–“Best For Last”: The electronic duo’s first full-length, 55, will be released in early March, though they have had multiple singles out since 2010 as well as EPs since 2011. The band’s name comes from when their neighbors would knock on the door because they were playing their music to loudly. Their first ever tour was opening for Ellie Goulding and they will be playing both Governor’s Ball and Bonaroo.

-The 1975–“Somebody Else: The third track from the seventeen-track sophomore release, I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, coming out next Friday. Regarding the title of the song, Matty Healy said, “The song is called ‘Somebody Else’ but it is about me'”. And on the length of the album–seventy-four minutes–“We didn’t have any rules. We went on a creative bender and let it finish when it finished.”

-Death Cab For Cutie–“Good Help (Is So Hard to Find)”: The third single from Kintsugi which Stereogum rated as number seven out of the band’s eight albums. They will be performing at Bonnaroo this summer.

-Victoria Reed–“Nothing To Lose”: Her  debut album Chariot comes out of Friday. She was discovered on the internet as a Philosophy Major at DePaul University. She dropped out to pursue music full-tme and will be touring with Citizen Cope next month.

-Lontalius–“Glow”: Lontalius is the stage name of New Zealand teenager Eddie Johnston. His debut album, I’ll forget 17 is coming out in late March.

-Beau–“C’mon Please”: Their album, That Thing Reality, drops on March 11th and they will be touring with Miike Snow with a stop in DC on March 9th.

-The Great American Canyon Band–“Crash”: The husband and wife duo hailing from Baltimore consists of Paul and Krystal Jean Mason. Their album Only You Remain is out in early April. They will be performing at South By Southwest next month before announcing a full tour.

-Oh Wonder–“Love It”: The title track off the London based Alt-Pop duo’s debut album. Their North American tour sold out in under thirty minutes.
