-Reed Turner–“I Got love”: From the Austin Native’s self-released EP Native Tongue which he wrote and recorded in a shed in his backyard!

-Aurora–“Conqueror”: Aurora’s debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me As a Friend is out on March 11th and she will be performing in Washington, DC on April 21st.

-Simo–“Long May You Sail”: J.D. Simo is regarded as one of the most highly revered guitarists in Nashville at the moment. His forthcoming album Let Love Show The Way was cut entirely live in the Allman Brothers’ Big House in Macon, Georgia.

-ON AN ON–“Icon Love”: From the Minneapolis band’s new record, The Wave Has Two Sides.

-Matt Andersen–“Let’s Get Back”: His seventh album Honest Man comes out on February 26th. It was recorded in New York with producer Commissioner Gordon who has worked with the likes of Quincy Jones, Joss Stone, Santana and Amy Winehouse.

-White Denim–“Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah)”: From the Austin band’s new album, Stiff, which drops on March 25th. It was produced by Ethan Johns and they will perform on Jimmy Kimmel on April 11th and in DC on April 20th.

Friday News At Noon Segment

-The Lumineers–“Ophelia”: The long-awaited 11-track album, Cleopatra, is out on April 8th. According to the band it is sonically very different from their self-titled debut. They will be touring but no dates have been announced yet.

-The Heavy–“Since You Been Gone”: The British band’s upcoming fourth album, Hurt & The Merciless is out in April and they will be performing at Coachella.

-The Suitcase Junket–“Dying Star”: Matt Lorenz is a one-man band whose instruments are made from found objects. “Dying Star” is the title track from his major label debut EP out on March 4th. He also practices the technique of Touvan Throat Singing and is one-third of the band Rusty Belle, of which his sister Kate is also a part.

-Lily & Madeleine–“For The Weak”: The Indianapolis-born sisters third album in three years is called Keep It Together. They will be performing in Vienna, VA on March 5th.

-Run River North–“Run Or Hide”: Their upcoming album, Drinking From A Salt Pond was produced by Lars Stalfors who has previously worked with Matt & Kim and Cold War Kids. The song was co-written with Lincoln Parish who is formerly of Cage The Elephant. They will be at The Southern on April 13th.

-Ben Abraham–“You And Me”: from his debut album, Sirens. He has written with the likes of Sara Bareilles as well as toured with Emmylou Harris.

-Alex Dezen–“This Is The Last Song I’ll Ever Write (On This Guitar): From his debut solo album (Alex Dezen is also the lead singer of The Damnwells). He has written for The Veronicas, Justin Bieber and The Court Yard Hounds and also holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

-Marlon Williams–“Dark Child”: Marlon Williams is a twenty-four-year-old artist from New Zealand. He will be performing at South By Southwest next month and then going on to tour Europe with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

-Rayland Baxter–“Mr. Rodriguez”: The second single from Rayland Baxter’s second album, Imaginary Man, was inspired by the Detroit musician Sixto Rodriguez.
