This Just In

Videos of the Day – week of 10/3/16

10/3 –  Röyksopp – Never Ever ft. Susanne Sundfør

this one (see above) has a very retro-futuristic feel (is that a thing?  Are they paying tribute to or mocking Daft Punk??)

10/4 – as heard today on The News At Noon, Peter Gabriel was inspired by & wrote this new song for Oliver Stone’s new movie Snowden about yep, you guessed it Edward Snowden.

10/5 – and if you thought THAT was dystopian, here’s the trailer for the new Moby & The Void Pacific Choir album These Systems Are Failing, due next Friday…

10/6 – Nada Surf is in town tonight at The Southern!  And we’ll have them in the Corner Lounge too, around 4pm.  This summer Nada Surf recorded shows with the FM4 Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Babelsberg Film Orchestra, and compiled the album ‘Peaceful Ghosts’ from these performances. It’ll be out 10/28…here’s the teaser video

10/7 – very cool new Australian artist Gordi released an EP earlier this year.  Here are the 2 videos of “Can We Work It Out,” the 2nd of which is a new solo piano version.
