Videos of the Day – week of 10/6

bonus video above is of Ryan Adams recently covering Bryan Adams in concert!  Maybe he’s not such a hater after all…the cover art resemblance is uncanny, no?  And how weird is it that Reckless turns 30 the same day Ryan & Bryan share a birthday??  I have a feeling that somehow, as much of a rock’n’roll savant as Ryan Adams is, he had this planned all along for 2014!?

10/6 – those goofy Chromeo guys are at it again…can you spot Haim’s cameo?

10/7 – well, I don’t really know what to say about this all-star updated version of “God Only Knows” the BBC commissioned…I’ll let the NME explain the who/what/when/where/why.  Looks like recent Corner Lounge guest Ethan Johns produced the track…guess I should’ve asked him about upcoming projects, huh?

10/8 – The Preatures have a new album out as of last week called Blue Planet Eyes.  Cool track here called “Somebody’s Talking”

10/9 – Happy Birthday to one of my all-time favorite artists, PJ Harvey!  Here’s a live version of a 1992 song performed 11 years ago…so cool!

How the rich pass on their wealth. And how you can too

Death and taxes may be inevitable. A big bill for your heirs is not. The rich have made an art of avoiding taxes and making sure their wealth passes down effortlessly to the next generation. But the tricks they use – to expedite payouts to heirs and avoid handing money to the government – can also work for people with far more modest estates.
