Videos of the Day – week of 12/17/18

12/17 – the Weezer skit from SNL over the weekend…how has Matt Damon not hosted in 16 years?

12/18 – as Jeff compiled his Top 10 Favorite Albums of 2018, he was reminded of an album we should’ve played WAY more on BTC…Empress Of’s debut album in 2015 made our list & let’s count this as a very close #11.  Fair warning: there is an F-bomb in this song about 1:50 in.

12/19 – today’s video is definitely a very cool one (visually & sonically speaking) from The Raconteurs!  Has it really been 10 years??

12/20 – another album Jeff came very close to including in his Top 10 (and that we should’ve played more) was courtesy of Cut Worms, who graced us in the Corner Lounge in July before opening for Jenny Lewis at The Jefferson.  Upon further review, we could see why Jenny was singing his praises, with a jangly, 60s pop-meets-modern indie rock vibe.

12/21 – this may end up being the last video we post for the year (lots of vacation time kicking in for The Corner Crew!), so we’ll head into Christmas next week with JD McPherson from CBS last weekend…his all-new holiday album Socks is great!  Happy Holidays!
