Videos of the Day – week of 12/18/17

12/18 – we’re a week away from Christmas Day, so ICYMI: Jimmy Fallon’s recent Springsteen holiday parody is um, timely…

12/19 – Phoebe Bridgers has another video from her amazing 2017 album, with help from her brother (who directed it) and Conor Oberst (who duets on the track).  The album was one of Jeff’s Top 10 albums of the Year!

12/20 – U2 has done a new version of “What’s Going On” for Spotify and of course someone has already uploaded it to YouTube (still don’t understand why these MEGA bands don’t just upload this stuff to their OWN platforms & spurn the “streaming gatekeepers” but it’s probably because they make WAY MORE MONEY doing it this way (just a guess)??  Notice Bono substitues “this wall” for “(war) is not the answer…”

12/21 – English sister trio The Staves (who made their U.S. Radio debut in the Corner Lounge in 2013 & went on to tour & record with Bon Iver, among many others) have a new EP out with yMusic (who you may know from their Ben Folds collab that brought them to Cville a while back).  They also do an amazing version of this amazing song!

12/22 – a song that’s been been done many times, many ways…but never quite like this???
