This Just In

Videos of the day – week of 1/6/14

1/6 – in tribute to Phil Everly, who passed away Friday, here’s an amazing medley they did on TV in 1970 (and is also on the Everly Brothers Show live album, which Will Oldham is an expert on, apparently!)

1/7 – an AC/DC-esque riff for the new Pixies song/video!  Another 4-song EP is out now…

1/8 – The Whigs kick off their 2014 tour in Cville tonight (1/8) at The Southern…As you may have heard in our Corner Lounge phone interview this week, they’ve got a new album coming out in April!  Here’s their super awesome, celebratory video for “Rock and Roll Forever!”

1/9 – Canada’s Sam Roberts Band are back with a new album in Feb.  Here’s the trippy new video for “We’re All in This Together”

1/10 – since today is my birthday, here’s the new Pharrell song “Happy!”  Did you hear about the 24-hour video he did for this tune (which appears not only on his upcoming solo album, but also in Despicable Me 2)??  Whoa…
