1/10 – Happy not-quite-50th birthday to Jeff Sweatman today…here’s the legendary MTV performance from the Singles movie release party in LA circa 1992.  They’re planning a big reissue for the soundtrack later this year!

1/11 – turns out Eddie Vedder sang at President Obama’s farewell speech in Chicago last night, featuring the Chicago Children’s Choir on this Neil Young classic!

1/12 – Alle Farben means “all colors” in German & he was born in Berlin.  Check out his new smash, “Bad Ideas”

Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of the glam rock band Kiss, who captivated audiences with his elaborate galactic makeup and smoking guitar, died Thursday. He was 74.
