4/21 – for Marathon & Patriot’s Day today in Boston: a new version of “Dream On” recorded in conjunction with an ESPN E:60 special that aired over the weekend.

4/22 – The new band Ex-Hex features a couple of familiar names…Mary Timony of Wild Flag & Helium indie-rock fame & also Betsy Wright, who used to be in the excellent Cville band The Fire Tapes.  Now she’s based in DC & touring the country with Ex-Hex, who release an album on Merge Records later this year…

4/23 – we just played the new Jack White track “Lazaretto” yesterday as the New Song of the Day at 2pm & then again on BTC last night…icymi – he recorded a version he called “The World’s Fastest Record” for Record Store Day this past Saturday.  From recording a live version to selling that very 7-inch record to a fan, the process took just under 4 hours at the Third Man complex in Nashville.  Here’s a recap…

4/24 – Remember Local H?  They are still around…here’s their alt-rockin’ take on Lorde’s “Team!”

4/25 – Lissie covers Drake, One Direction, Dylan, Judas Priest and even Danzig on her new EP!
