Videos of the Day – week of 6/16

6/16 – take a look & listen to a new duo from Scotland called Honeyblood, esp. if you’re into “Killer Bangs”

6/17 – Lana Del Rey’s new album Ultraviolence is out today.  For whatever reason, she seems to be an attention-magnet (both positive & negative attention)…I guess when you can put compelling songs/performances together with cool visuals (although some have argued the image/presentation far outweighs the talent in this case) and then mix in a bit of controversy, a “clickbait” superstar is born! Last summer’s EDM remix of “Summertime Sadness” & the song “Young & Beautiful” being on The Great Gatsby soundtrack only raised her profile, not to mention all the free press she got by playing Kanye & Kim Kardashian’s wedding this summer!  Wonder what David Lynch thinks of this brand-new video?

6/18 – the Portland-via-Estonia band Kye Kye has an interesting sound…the sentiment of this song reminds me of the K’s Choice song “Not An Addict”…remember that one?

6/19 – I’m more of a tea fan than a coffee drinker, but I still dig this new track from Sylvan Esso…now I’ve got some new dance moves for the studio during BTC!

6/20 – new White Lung album out this week…here’s the new video from the Vancouver punk quartet…
