Videos of the Day – week of 6/5/17

6/5 – at a festival in Germany yesterday, Serj from System of a Down joined Prophets of Rage for a tribute to their mutual friend/musical collaborator Chris Cornell, performing “Like A Stone”…starts off a bit rough (understandably so since they held Chris in such high regard), but Serj makes up for it the last minute or so.

6/6 – over the weekend, Eddie Vedder played a festival in Denmark…among the new covers he’s added to his cover-heavy repertoire is his opening act Glen Hansard’s “Song of Good Hope.”  Be advised of a NSFW word at about 1:10

6/7 – Radiohead’s deluxe version of OK Computer (OKNOTOK) comes out 6/23…1 of the 3 previously unreleased tracks on this collection is an amazing song called “I Promise”

6/7 (bonus video!) – Sheila E. has just unveiled her new version of Prince’s “America” on his birthday and she recalled some great stories for Rolling Stone from her days in the band (careful, some NSFW language).

6/8 & 6/9 – Bonnarooooooooo!  Our own Pat Gallagher will be broadcasting from TN starting Friday & updating our website & social media (@WCNRTheCorner on Twitter & Instagram) all weekend long!  You can see a live webcast of several performances via Red Bull TV, and you gotta check out the short film This and Nothing Else they put together telling the stories of 3 diverse groups and their annual pilgrimages to Bonnaroo (it’s 20+ minutes, but at least watch the last minute…good stuff!)
