Videos of the Day – week of 6/9

6/9 – love love love this new song from Strand of Oaks, feat. J Mascis on a typically-shredding guitar part!  It’s songs like this that are the reason I do this show!

6/10 – I know they’ve just unveiled a newer video (watch for a cameo by Katy from La Sera & watch out for a naughty word at the very end), but we’ll send this other recent Guided By Voices video out to all those LeBron James haters out there who I’m assuming drank plenty of Haterade (to stay hydrated, of course) after his epic Game 2 NBA Finals appearance…Game 3 is tonight!

6/11 – there’s a new First Aid Kit album out this week!  I love this Swedish sister duo & here’s a beautiful video for the beautiful first single, “My Silver Lining”

6/12 – Happy Birthday to Robyn today!  She & Royksopp have a new collaboration album that just came out last week – LOVE this new song! #stadiumanthem

6/13 – and thanks to the YouTube suggested videos when I looked up the Robyn track above, I just recently discovered this one that we’ll send out to all the Fathers out there…consider it a gift from Tom Brady???  I’ve never heard of this Bob Sinclar guy, but he’s clearly a genius for pairing Gisele & Blondie!?  Oh, and she’s Brazilian, right?  So we’re also posting this as a public service reminder that the World Cup is now underway in Brazil…U-S-A!  U-S-A!
