7/17 – one of the most compelling frontwomen of the past 10+ years with the band Chairlift, Caroline Polachek has a new solo song & arresting video out

7/18 – as heard this week on The News at Noon, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes has a new single out!  Her 1st solo album is out 9/20, and she wrote a letter to Terry Crews to ask him to be in this video!  The album title Jaime is inspired by Brittany’s sister who taught her to play piano and write poetry and who died from cancer when they were both teenagers…information that may make the end of the video make a little more sense.

7/19 – a new band called Goon has a new record out today on Partisan Records called Heaven Is Humming
