This Just In

Videos of the Day – week of 7/29/19

7/29 – Phantogram has a really cool new video out!

7/30 – here’s a cool new one from the band Twen

7/31 – Another great story & Prince song/video has been released from the Originals collection.  “Holly Rock” was recorded for inclusion on the original soundtrack for the 1985 movie Krush Groove. While Prince gave Sheila E. sole writing and producer credit, he actually produced the track himself and co-wrote it with Sheila. Though not a hit at the time, the electrifying full six and half-minute version has become a firm fan favourite due to the scarcity of copies of the soundtrack. Originals is the first time that “Holly Rock” has appeared on a Prince-related album and been made available digitally.

8/1 – there’s a new Paul Thomas Anderson-directed video to go with Haim’s new single. Definite Lou Reed “Walk on the Wild Side” vibes, with heavy themes underlying the summer breezy sound…

8/2 – The New Pornographers are back with a new single! Album to follow in late Sept.
