8/7 – tomorrow at Sprint Pavilion, The Punch Brothers bring their American Acoustic tour to Cville, along with a new group called I’m With Her (Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan).  See above for their new video!

8/8 – remember that time The Punch Brothers covered The Cars for the A.V. Club?  Catch Chris Thile & the gang tonight at Sprint Pavilion!

8/9 – here’s a freaky new video from the British band Enter Shikari who announced their upcoming album with a surprise show for fans in London last week, just as BBC Radio 1 named this song the “Hottest Record In The World”

8/10 – Louisville’s White Reaper don’t lack for confidence, naming their new album “The World’s Best American Band”…here’s the single, “Judy French” starring Alexandra Daddario

8/11 – Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers recorded “Romeo’s Tune” as part of the upcoming compilation album “An American Troubadour: The Songs Of Steve Forbert,” set for release October 6. Featuring 21 tracks by 22 acts, the ambitious project sets out to showcase Steve’s career of five decades.  This song in particular features lyrics that still speak to us 37 years later, esp. leading into this weekend in Cville.  Don’t miss Nicki performing with Bob Weir & Phil Lesh as part of the Terrapin Family Band 8/25 at Lockn’! #peace #love
